Reflection on Commercial

Hi guys! We finally all finished our commercials and I am so proud with the way mine turned out! I learned a lot throughout this commercial, I learned how to use iMovie and got a lot more comfortable compared to when I first started this project.      To start off with, I learned how to use iMovie, Voice Recorder on my iPhone, and other apps for recording and picture taking. With iMovie I learned how to do a lot and I can't even begin to describe how much time I spent on YouTube learning how to navigate iMovie. I learned how to add music and combine clips, as well as adding transitions and adding text to the clips. I also learned that I had a Voice Recorder app on my phone this whole time which I thought was kinda silly. It allowed me to easily record audio clips that I can insert into my commercial super easy! It is something that I can definitely find myself using again. I also learned some stuff with my camera on my phone! I learned that I can record in 120 fps (frames pe

All About Me Commercial!

Hi guys! It's finally here!!! I finally present to you guys my final product! Though most of my blogs consisted of me just brainstorming, we had the ball moving little by little! I'm so proud of the way this project came out- I really tried my best to make this commercial as "Eva" as I could've.  Though, at times little obstacles with the editing and my health came along, we managed to finish the project! I also think that I managed to achieve the intended tones for the video. I think that it's a very accurate representation of me. I genuinely feel super excited to show you guys this commercial I worked very hard on!  Every night I spent wondering about what to do for this project was worth it, and the final product shows it! I feel like by presenting this video to you guys, you guys can ACTUALLY see who I am. Through silly little videos of me and the things that I hold dearest to me, you guys have gotten to see the type of person that I am! Not only this, but

Hiiii guys!!! This is going to be my last post regarding the commercial I'm producing!! I've got all my materials!! I went to work today and I was able to record a little snippet of me working! This shot of me working and the closing shot (dramatic superhero pose) were the only shots I absolutely needed to take today. Tomorrow, I'll finally be able to put final touches to the commercial, which should take like 20 minutes.  After watching the video that I shared with you guys in my previous blog, I really feel like I'm able to get it all done! As for the pictures and videos I've chosen, I have them all saved in an album on my phone for easy access. The only thing that still needs to get done is the music choice. I know I wanted Tchaikovsky at first, but since there'll be a voiceover, I wouldn't want one of Tchaikovsky's amazing pieces to take the attention away from what I'm saying! This being said, I think I'm just going to have to settle with s

Hey guys!! It's Eva again! I'm sorry for the late update- I got a super bad stomach flu and spent half of the week basically bedridden LOL. It's alright I'm all better now!    Despite being sick for a few days, I did take the time to think thoroughly about the clips I want. I unfortunately had to set back my first actual recording day to tomorrow, but I know exactly what I'm going to shoot. I set it back all the way till tomorrow because tomorrow I go to work and I'll be able to record myself at work! I also plan on shooting my super cool superhero shot at work too, so I'll probably end up doing that tomorrow as well.  Along with setting back my recording day, I also took the time to look at other commercials the one I'm making, and I found one that I really liked! In this introduction video, the girl used a voiceover to tell us about herself. I found it extremely engaging and I think I'm going to use her commercial as a guide for doing mine! Of c

Hi guys!! It's Eva again! I just wanted to update you guys on my commercial and how it's going! So, I finally decided which editing software I want to use. I was thinking about using CapCut originally since it was something I heard my friends using, but I decided to use iMovie instead. I've already previously used iMovie for similar projects, so I'm somewhat familiar with it. Plus, iMovie is just something I have easy access to since it comes on my Apple products!  I know that in my last post I said that I was hoping to bring at least a few clips I decided on DEFINITELY using in my commercial, and I did! Though I still need to figure out how I'm going to put it all together for it to flow nicely, I finally have some of the clips and videos I'm going to use. Of course, I still want to record some bits for the commercial, so I'm missing those clips too. Some of the clips I chose to use are mostly live photos from some of my most precious and notable moments.

Hey guys, It's Eva again! After taking it into some consideration, I decided to do the commercial about me! As of now, I really haven't done much other than organize what I want my commercial to look like- I really don't want to begin using the editing software when I still don't exactly know what I'm doing. I know that in my last post I spoke about some ideas I had for the commercial, but I really didn't have anything solid. I mostly just put all of my ideas for a commercial about myself on the table to help me pick out what I ACTUALLY want in it. I've been deciding what I want my commercial to look like and how I'm going to achieve that look.    So far, I've decided the overall mood I want to set in my commercial. I want my commercial to deliver a very comedic effect! In order to achieve this, I decided that using pictures in a slideshow type of way would make setting the desired mood much more difficult to achieve. I also thought that structurin

Hey guys, it's Eva again! Lately I've been thinking about making my own commercial about myself! I haven't begun making it yet, but I wanted to tell you guys about the plans that I have for this super cool commercial I'm thinking about making.     So, for this super cool commercial, I'm thinking about making it with a song that I really like. To be honest, as of recent, I've been listening to a lot of pieces by famous composers (especially Tchaikovsky), so I really might add a piece composed by him. It might sound a little odd for a 17-year-old to like classical pieces, but I really do enjoy listening to the pieces. My favorite part of listening to them is listening for the piccolo/flute! I play this instrument, so it's always super cool to hear it in pieces written by famous composers. I actually get super excited whenever I hear a piccolo/flute solo- ESPECIALLY if it has trills. Adding a classical piece with heavy piccolo/flute parts feels like a must-h

Good morning guys! My name is Eva Lopez and I'm 17 years old. I was born here, in the United States, but both of my parents are from Nicaragua. Oddly enough, whenever I tell people this, they don't know where Nicaragua is- it's in Central America. Between Costa Rica and Honduras, you'll find Nicaragua! My family comes from a port on the west side of the country -- Corinto. Here, you'll find yourself surrounded by the beautiful beaches Nicaragua is known for.   Although I wasn't born in Nicaragua, I am a first-generation American. In addition to this, I am also the oldest sibling in the household. I have two younger brothers. Due to these two things, I usually find myself plenty motivated to pursue success. Especially because of my youngest brother, who is a four-year-old version of me, I wish to be the best role model for him. I genuinely want nothing more than to make my little brothers feel proud to say that I'm their big sister. I plan on working super
