Production Blog: Filming and Editing!

 Hiiii guys!!! This is going to be my last post regarding the commercial I'm producing!! I've got all my materials!! I went to work today and I was able to record a little snippet of me working! This shot of me working and the closing shot (dramatic superhero pose) were the only shots I absolutely needed to take today. Tomorrow, I'll finally be able to put final touches to the commercial, which should take like 20 minutes.

 After watching the video that I shared with you guys in my previous blog, I really feel like I'm able to get it all done! As for the pictures and videos I've chosen, I have them all saved in an album on my phone for easy access. The only thing that still needs to get done is the music choice. I know I wanted Tchaikovsky at first, but since there'll be a voiceover, I wouldn't want one of Tchaikovsky's amazing pieces to take the attention away from what I'm saying! This being said, I think I'm just going to have to settle with some joyful background music that isn't too attention grabbing. If anything, I might just add a snippet of one of his most beautiful pieces!

 I've already began messing around with the editing on iMovie. It took a second for me to remind myself how to work with iMovie, but after messing around with it for a little, I got it! The thing I mostly needed a refresher on was adding voiceovers to clips. Thankfully, I had already clipped the bloopers out of the shots I'm using, so it was just a matter of inserting the media in a way that flowed nicely! I'm still working on the editing for the final commercial and I might spend tomorrow recording any last-minute shots that I may deem as needed, but I think it's going to turn out really good! The last-minute shots I speak of will mostly just consist of tiny shots of me playing with my puppy or doing homework. If anything, they're more like filler to give me more time to talk. 

I can't wait to share my production with you guys!

My Group for the Music Video

   Hi guys!!! I'm back with another post in relation to my music video!!  Everyone in my class is working on their music video in a group, but I'm working alone. To be honest, I had a doctors appointment the day we chose groups and the people I wanted to work with ended up getting into a group LOL. However, I'm not upset at the idea of working alone. Working in a group can get quite complicated sometimes- especially when it comes to conflicting schedules. This being said, despite the workload being a bit bigger, I'm quite satisfied with working alone. I feel that by working alone, I'll be able to really make it my own. I don't necessarily have an issue with working in a group, but they both have their respective pros and cons. Besides, working alone doesn't mean that I can't ask my super awesome friends to help me with certain things!   For the song I'll be using, I chose to use Good Days by SZA. Title Research: Split

1. What titles are displayed during the opening sequences?  The opening sequences of "Split" directed by M. Night Shyamalan, begins with multiple tiny black boxes that repeat all over the screen and in each of them show the credits and titles such as "Universal Pictures Presents", "In association with Blumhouse Productions", along with a few others in which they do the same to the Director of the movie and the title of the movie "Split" 2. What images are prioritized in the opening sequence?  The biggest thing that is shown in the opening sequence is right off the bat, you see a guy instantly from the perspective of the girl in which he reaches over and grabs you. Already putting tension on the audience right off the bat they follow up with the opening sequence where all we see are the titles.
