 Location of scene: Local park

May:

 *Walks towards the door*

Emily - mom:

 (curiously) "Honey, where are you going?"

May: 

*pauses*

"I'm just going for a breather, mom!! It's pretty outside!" (smiles)

Emily:

 (warmly) "Okay, honey! Just be careful- it's getting dark outside. I love you."

May: 

 "Love you too, mom! I'll see you in a bit."

May: 

 *walks out to the park*


Location of the scene: Sidewalk nearing the wooded park

May: 

*walking forward while looking down and trying not to step on the cracks*

May's Inner Thoughts (MIT):

 "I was so anxious at that house. I miss the old house. This is nice, though- the wind is nice."

May: 

*Stops to admire the towering trees above her*

MIT:

 "Oh wow- these trees are gorgeous. How come I didn't notice before?"

May: 

*smiles to herself* 

*continues to walk towards the nearing park*

MIT: 

(excitedly) 

"OH the park!! It looks so peaceful AND I SEE SWINGS! JUST what I needed!!" 

May: 

*walks off to the distance towards the swings*


Location of the scene: The park's playground

May: 

*Nears the swings and notices a girl swinging there*

May: 

*Proceeds to the swings and gets on it while occasionally looking at the girl on the other swing*

MIT: 

*Slightly swinging back and forth*

"She looks to be my age"

Mika: 

*Notices May looking at her*

Mika: 

(Kindly) 

"Hi! Are you new to the neighborhood? My name is Mika!"

May: 

(Shyly and sadly) 

"Oh...hi...yeah, we just moved here two days ago. My name is May."

Mika: 

*Notices May's sad expression* 

"Oh...how has the move been? You look sad. Would you like to talk about it?"


*Camera cuts to a medium long shot of May talking to herself before slowly zooming out*

  Hi guys!! It's Eva again! I just wanted to update you guys on my commercial and how it's going! So, I finally decided which editing software I want to use. I was thinking about using CapCut originally since it was something I heard my friends using, but I decided to use iMovie instead. I've already previously used iMovie for similar projects, so I'm somewhat familiar with it. Plus, iMovie is just something I have easy access to since it comes on my Apple products!  I know that in my last post I said that I was hoping to bring at least a few clips I decided on DEFINITELY using in my commercial, and I did! Though I still need to figure out how I'm going to put it all together for it to flow nicely, I finally have some of the clips and videos I'm going to use. Of course, I still want to record some bits for the commercial, so I'm missing those clips too. Some of the clips I chose to use are mostly live photos from some of my most precious and notable moments.

Reflection on Commercial

       Hi guys! We finally all finished our commercials and I am so proud with the way mine turned out! I learned a lot throughout this commercial, I learned how to use iMovie and got a lot more comfortable compared to when I first started this project.      To start off with, I learned how to use iMovie, Voice Recorder on my iPhone, and other apps for recording and picture taking. With iMovie I learned how to do a lot and I can't even begin to describe how much time I spent on YouTube learning how to navigate iMovie. I learned how to add music and combine clips, as well as adding transitions and adding text to the clips. I also learned that I had a Voice Recorder app on my phone this whole time which I thought was kinda silly. It allowed me to easily record audio clips that I can insert into my commercial super easy! Music Video Conventions

   Hi guys!! I hope you guys are all doing well! For my music video, I wanted to talk about the conventions in Alternative R&B. Since the song I chose, "Good Days" by SZA, is Alternative R&B, I looked at songs within the same genre to see if there was a common theme between them all. Not only did I encounter a bunch of new music I enjoyed, I also found a bunch of similarities between the music videos. In all of the Alternative R&B music videos I watched, the theme of "good vibes" was always conveyed somehow. For example, in SZA's music video, she's in a sort of wonderland. She dances and seems to be just enjoying herself in this wonderland. Of course, this could be obvious though since the song's name is "Good Days." Another example of the theme of "good vibes" being expressed is in Steve Lacy's "Bad Habit," in which he appears to be in an empty room just having fun. He dances to himself as he wears some cool
